The newly constructed wine making facility is strategically situated on the highest elevation of the expansive Estate overlooking the Vineyards and Tasting Pavilion. After extensive research of equipment options and working with manufactures representatives in Milano and Brescia, the decision was made to combine the family’s wine making heritage with the most ultra- modern equipment and the finest technology which include Italian De-stemming and Crushing machinery, Propylene Glycol temperature controlling equipment and custom fabricated fermentation and storage vessels specifically designed to maximize the production of limited quantities of complex and exquisite wines.

Intensive planning over many months has resulted in a boutique winery designed and equipped for the economical and efficient production of Solaro Estate's wines. The facility is built adjacent to the vineyard allowing for rapid transport of the handpicked grapes to the Destemmer-Crusher which is done in the coolness of night to prevent spoilage and maintain purity. After a gentle destemming process the must is quickly transferred into the waiting temperature controlled tanks for fermentation and subsequent transfer to additional tanks necessary in the fermentation and aging process.
